Registered Architect (TAS), M.Arch, B.EnvDes.

Rachel is an enthusiastic emerging architect working in Tasmania. Rachel’s astute design sensibilities and keen eye for detail has seen her gain experience on successful residential, education and commercial projects. She enjoys working closely with clients on a range of project types and scales - working in small to medium practice has enabled Rachel to play a key role in projects from initial concept through to project completion.

Rachel worked for Preston Lane Architects (2015-2021) before starting maternity leave, where she gained 6 years of extensive experience on boutique residential projects. She creates highly considered spaces, is annoyingly fastidious with alignments, and has a love for designing places for people but also their ‘things’ - the epic monstera, the fireplace brush, the favourite coffee mugs.

Her ‘can do’ attitude extends to her involvement within the architectural profession including EmAGN (Emerging Architects Tas Committee) and AIA Tas Awards and Honours Task Group.

A lover of the Tasmanian outdoors - she enjoys the beach, bush walking, flyfishing at the Great Lakes, pottering in the garden, and is a craft enthusiast. Rachel is also a dedicated volunteer surf life saver which has seen her win Surf Life Saving Australia’s National Trainer of the Year in 2018 - further evidence of her patience, attention to detail and thoughtful approach to life.
