Lawrence Lane Apartments

Project Status: Concept

This three storey apartment development, tucked away down the backstreets of Geelong’s CBD is influenced by the surrounding brick buildings. The neighbourhood, now in the trendy heart of Geelong’s foodie strip used to be home Geelong’s industrial working buildings.

An endearing collection of brick buildings, each with their own detailing quirks surround the plot. The building takes cues from these quirks reinterpreting them in a contemporary and playful way in turn adding character and texture back to the street edge.

The ground floor provides garage parking, an entry and a courtyard space and the two levels above host the apartments with external deck spaces. Volume is utilised in the design to maximise the sense of space in the small footprint apartments.
